Of today being the 9/11 anniversary, where were you then and how long after did you find out it happened?

I was sitting in my living room watching it unfold on TV. I live in the UK. We got quite extensive coverage here. I switched the TV on and the first plane had already struck: it must have been about 10 minutes or so into the attack. It was scary enough seeing it on a small screen from 4,000 miles away, what it was like to be there I can't imagine.
