What was the name of that early 90s dark rock/goth band?

They were very dark rock or gothic; I think it was a trio and the lead had the deepest voice similar to the crash test dummys', but the sound was completely different. I had the cd in 1994(?). the band was composed, I think of 3 men , each with waist-long jet black hair and the cover had a distorted & vague pic of a forest in greens and blacks and the actual cd was similar with the black forest.
