Other than expand his Marxist platform, do you see any benefit to Obama's new Cuban policy?

Regarding the transfer of funds and travel? Do we see any benefit for the people of the US to try to improve living conditions for a Marxist country, while our own continues to deteriorate. Is this a prelude to Obama's South American trip when he finally decides to close ranks with Chavez, Morales, Ortega, and Castro? Will we wake up the next morning with the announcement that our president is now declaring himself, dictator ?
