What's wrong with these tomatoes?

How many drainage holes are in the pots? One just wont do. Need to drill some around the bottom of the pots. Also, she didn't use the right type of soil. What she has is heavy and when wet will kind of smother the roots. She should have used the potting soil, some vermiculite, some sand and something such as Grow-mulch. Then before planting put a big handful of fertilizer in with it. Water in well then about every three or four days. Her pots need to be more tub size. Like those plastic kind that people put ice and drinks in. She should give Miracle Grow every two weeks.I think it might be the drainage or she could have grubs in the pot. They wil eat the roots. I'm no expert but have grown tomatoes in pots for years and years. Good Luck to your friend and don't let her get discouraged.
